"The Bad Guy Speaks", is Tatalovic's undergraduate thesis film (Cleveland State University's film school). This short thriller-noir was photographed using an old CP-16 camera and Kodak's super-16mm celluloid. The controversial film was written by Dr. Dennis Goldberg, an award winning screenwriter from Wyoming. Inspired by Kubrick's audio-visual style, Tatalovic mixes tracking shots, one-point perspective, rack focus, and darkish atmosphere, spiced up with multi-genre musical themes. The result is an unusual canvas, with bizarre characters and darkly comedic interactions. The message is open to viewers' interpretations and academic discussions.
